Dubai, XX XX 2020 – One of the largest carpet manufacturing facilities in the United Arab Emirates, Standard Carpets LLC, is celebrating the completion of a 7.2 megawatt solar PV rooftop project by Total Solar Distributed Generation Middle East, an affiliate of Total dedicated to the development of distributed solar energy solutions, in Dubai Industrial City, United Arab Emirates.
Standard Carpets LLC’S company policy focuses on having sustainability at its heart and make sure that their products are of high quality, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly. Therefore, they decided to partner with Total Solar Distributed Generation Middle East to work on a solar PV rooftop project that can cover 56% of the company’s electricity needs with renewable energy.
The installation is made up of 18,468 solar PV panels that can generate over 11,000 mega-watt hours (MWh) per year. As a result, Standard Carpets LLC will now be able to reduce their carbon emissions by 4,928 tons of CO2, annually.

An inauguration ceremony was held on the 28th of January 2021, to celebrate the completion of the solar PV rooftop project. It was attended by H.E.
