TotalEnergies uses its In-house Expertise to Solarize 5,000 Of Its Service Stations Worldwide

Since 2016, TotalEnergies has been committed to solarizing 5,000 of its service stations, in 57 countries around the world, as a step towards becoming a global responsible energy major. In four years, the Group has installed solar panels on more than 1,700 sites worldwide.

Once completed, this project will represent the equivalent of a 125MW solar plant by solarizing 30% of its service stations worldwide. This will reduce more than 50,000 tons of harmful carbon emissions a year as a result.

TotalEnergies proved its commitment to become a leading pioneer in renewable energy when it created its own solar division, dedicated to developing sustainable projects through in-house expertise. Today, there are multiple TotalEnergies offices worldwide accompanying businesses towards their solar energy transition.

“Solarizing TotalEnergies’s service stations is fully aligned with our strategy of generating and supplying distributed renewable electricity.” said Julien Pouget, Senior Vice President, Renewables at TotalEnergies.
